It’s hard to describe yourself when everyone who knows you sees a different version of you. We all see life through the lens of our own experience.

Online dating makes that even stranger. Most people will know you through a few pictures, a few lines, and maybe a conversation that never really goes anywhere. Only my family has seen the whole journey, and we love each other. So I thought I’d give you a little more.

I grew up in Argentina in a happy family and never really had to worry about having my needs met. I had a future waiting for me, and after university I set off on what was supposed to be a gap year.

Fourteen years later, I’m still exploring.

Living overseas and traveling for so long has changed the way I see almost everything. You start to notice how much of what we call “normal” is simply the place we happened to grow up in.

Eventually, I realized that freedom was not really about being able to go anywhere. It was about being free from the need to be understood by everyone. I just needed to know myself well enough to be comfortable with my choices.

I don’t think happiness means that everything goes your way. I think a lot of it comes from deciding what you make of what happens to you.

That, for me, has become freedom.

I’m genuinely happy with the life I’ve built. I’ve created a little nest for myself — a life made from skills, experiences, challenges, friendships, and the ability to carry what I’ve learned wherever I go. It’s a life I can keep building, adapting, and learning from.

And I think two good lives can become something even better when they come together.

I want to be with someone who makes me want to become more alive — and I want to be that person for her too.

I don’t think a good life needs to be completely planned.

I think it needs to stay alive.
